Abstract
The present chapter gives a brief overview of the main murine models available for bone sarcoma studies, including genetically engineered mice. Particular attention will be paid to the different procedures to induce bone sarcoma from inoculation of tumor cells or implantation of tumor fragments. The technical aspects of anesthesia and surgical procedures, together with postoperative follow-up will be described and discussed in detail.
