Abstract
Three ultrasonic patterns of canine hepatic lymphosarcoma were found. The first pattern reflected a normal hepatic parenchymal appearance or a slight reduction in echogenicity. The second pattern consisted of anechoic or hypoechoic, poorly marginated lesions. A third pattern was characterized by multiple, round echodensities surrounded by areas of sonolucency. It was concluded that ultrasound is helpful for diagnosis and staging of canine lymphosarcoma with liver involvement and is useful for monitoring the response to chemotherapy.
