Abstract
A 9‐year‐old, spayed, female, domestic shorthair cat was presented with an acute onset of lethargy, vomiting and anorexia. The cat had a prior diagnosis of diabetes mellitus and was being managed with bexagliflozin, a sodium‐glucose cotransporter‐2 inhibitor. On presentation, the cat was diagnosed with euglycaemic diabetic ketoacidosis. Treatment included intravenous dextrose supplementation and a constant rate infusion of regular insulin. The cat responded well to therapy and was discharged 9 days after admission on subcutaneous glargine insulin.
