Abstract
We present a protocol for implanting 32-channel NeuroNexus skull-surface electroencephalogram (EEG) arrays in rats to record absence seizure-like events. We describe steps for surgical implantation and automated offline detection of seizures from Open Ephys EEG recordings. This approach enables brain-wide, multi-day electrophysiological monitoring to assess epilepsy and seizure dynamics in rodents. For complete details on the use and execution of this protocol, please refer to Katsanevaki et al..
