Abstract
Strong evidence from observational studies shows that high levels of physical activity are associated with a reduced risk of breast cancer, with a dose-response effect. Human trials and animal models have identified mechanisms explaining these associations, which aid in designing prescriptions and guidelines for exercise in breast cancer prevention.
